Levada "Juanita" Thompson Goad

Levada “Juanita” Thompson Goad, age 70 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. She was born in Washington, D.C. on August 11, 1954 a daughter of the late Leonard Thompson and Alice Blankenship Thompson. She was an angel (our saving grace) sent by God to her family. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Surviving are her brother, Jimmy Thompson; friend and father of her children, James Bussey, Jr.; children, Wayne Bussey, Angie Young and Wesley Bussey; five grandchildren, Audrey, Samantha, Kristen, Jacob and Kadence; nine great-grandchildren, Genesis, Alaska, Jaida, Brooklyn, Aminah, Aaron, Karise, Tucker and Brooke; and two nieces, Tammy and Tiffany. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Flora Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
