Linda Bayne Bryant

Linda Bayne Bryant, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Born on August 16, 1944, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Bayne. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James M. Bayne "Sambo”; and a granddaughter, Samantha Tyree.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Bryant, Jr.; daughter Laurie Tyree; two stepsons, Adam Bryant (Melissa) and Walter Bryant III (June); grandchildren, Sidney Sprouse (Peyton), Adam Bryant, Jr., Ashton Bryant, Walter Bryant IV, Makaela Bryant; two great grandchildren, Sterling Sprouse and Violet Sprouse; a sister, June Carter; and a special niece, Tamara Carter.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
