Linda Faye Nemchick Morehead

LINDA FAYE NEMCHICK MORHEAD, 76, of the Kimberling Community of Bland, VA, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at Wythe County Community Hospital.  She was born June 10, 1949 in Bluefield, WV, the daughter of the late Paul & Virginia Nemchick.

Linda was a homemaker and spent most of her time at home working her puzzle books. She enjoyed keeping up with her soap operas.  In the past, she attended Shady Grove Church. She loved cats.

She enjoyed her trips to the Wohlfahrt House Dinner Theater to see the Elvis shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Alex & Virginia Faye Toliver Nemchick and her husband of 46 years, W. Kenneth Morehead.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons & daughters-in-law, Matthew & Angela Morehead and Kevin & Marina Morehead; her two fantastic grandchildren, Kendrick  Morehead and Kalen Morehead; and special friends and neighbors, Timothy & Barbara Nunn.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Leroy Long officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made in Linda’s honor to Shiloh Cemetery Fund, c/o Janet Wright, 2171 Wilderness Rd., Bland, VA 24315.
