Linda Faye Sowder

Linda Faye Hutchenson Sowder, 71, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born on November 14, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Albert Lynnwood Hall and Katherine Ella Carroll Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward Peter Sowder, Jr; two daughters, Katherine Elaine Sowder and Lisa Ann Sowder; sisters, Carol Hall and Kimberly Smith; and brother, Dwayne Hall.

Linda is survived by two sons, James Dean Hutchenson (Lori) and Justin Lee Sowder (Candace); sisters, Brenda Hall and Gloria Nims; brothers, Ronnie Hutchenson and Josh Hutchenson; grandchildren, Meghan Hamilton, Chelsea Mullins, Taylor Hudson, Kelly Rector, Rebecca Richards, James Hutchenson, Jr, Samantha Par, Rose Palmer, John Hoback, Faith Hutchenson; many great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service, with Pastor Jason Alverson officiating. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
