Linda Gail Shaver
Linda Gail Shaver, aged 66, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, in Pembroke, Virginia. Born on July 11, 1958, in Pulaski County, Virginia, Linda was a cherished daughter, beloved wife, loving mother, and dear sister. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched everyone she met, and her memory will be treasured forever.
Linda's life was a tapestry of love and dedication woven through the threads of her family and community. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Shaver, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of love and partnership. The legacy of her nurturing love is carried on through her children, Brandon Shaver and Samantha Shaver, who were the light of her life. Linda also leaves behind her sisters, Dorothy Peck and Jeannie Yoder, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Green Hubbard and Thelma Louise Bullens, and her siblings, Tommy Hubbard and Brenda Viars.
For many years, Linda was a valued member of the housekeeping staff at Virginia Tech, Linda's involvement in her community extended beyond her professional life, as she touched the lives of many with her kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand. An avid lover of the great outdoors, Linda found joy and solace in the beauty of nature. She had a special fondness for animals, often spending time observing wildlife that visited her backyard. Her flower garden was a canvas of vibrant colors and fragrances, reflecting her love for life and growth. It was in this sanctuary that she found peace and contentment. Linda's creative spirit shone brightly through her drawings, which captured the essence of her subjects with grace and beauty. She had a knack for bringing her visions to life on paper, and her artwork was a source of joy for her. In quieter moments, Linda enjoyed working puzzles.
