Linda J. Williamson

Linda Jean Williamson, 76, of Bassett, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on December 25, 1946, to the late Charlie Martin and Audrey Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Daisy Nell Hairston; brother, Roger Lee Martin.

Mrs. Williamson worked at Bassett Furniture Company for over thirty years until her retirement. She was a member of Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory.In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.

Linda leaves to cherish her memories to her husband of 57 years, Clarence Williamson; children, Anthony Williamson (Mary), Reggie Williamson (Tamika), Michelle Williamson and Torrey Williamson; six grandchildren, Mario Redd, Gloria Shanay Williamson, Deontae Williamson, Jalisa Dickerson, Timothy Seay and Jemontae Finney; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Ann Armstrong, Victoria Burnette, Evie Edmonds (Harry) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family, and friends.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory, 690 Sunset Drive, Bassett, Virginia with Dr. Todd Foster, officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. The interment will be held at C&A Martin Family Cemetery, Bassett Virginia immediately following the service.
