Linda Lou Riggleman Louk, 78, of Appomattox passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Edward “Ted” Louk.
Born on May 14, 1945, in Jamesburg, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John Clinton Riggleman and Ethel Pearl Pudder Riggleman.
She is survived by an aunt, Verida Crotchfelt; six children, Peggy Scott, Patty Louk, Kitty Demeter, James Louk (Shelly), Tammy Bryant (Chad), and Vada Kidd (Ray); 21 grandchildren, Thomas, Brandon, Joe, Marcus, Edward (Ami), Alicia (Sid), Jose Jr. (Pam), Joshua (Ashley), Kayla (Antione), Robert Jr., Anthony (Michele), Meagan, Toby (Skyla), Emily, Trevor, Kristen, Katie (Malik), Clyde, Ethan, Logan, and Dallas; 22 great-grandchildren, Nina, Neah, Norie, Nadia, Naomi, Caelan, Taya, Kinslee, Eliana, Hayli, Sophie, Kayden, Sidney, Carlie, Nichole, Hailey, Ericka, Aiden, Tomas, Norman, Leo, Avenlee, and one great- grandchild on the way, baby Olsen; one great-great-grandchild on the way, baby Coles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, two sons-in-law, Thomas Casey, Sr., and Albert “Tiger” Demeter; and many other loved ones.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that had a special relationship with each family member. She never met a stranger. The first time in her home you were company, after that you were family, and her home was your home. She will be extremely missed by so many.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Friday June 23, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, June 22 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
