Linda Ruffner Bishop

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Ruffner Bishop, 79, on March 20, 2026, at her home in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.She was born and raised in Orange, Virginia, on December 28, 1946, to Earl and Nellie Ruffner, Linda grew up to graduate from Orange County High School in 1965.She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ken Bishop, after 56 years of marriage, their daughter Emily and her husband Hudson, and their children, Hailey and Preston, living in San Francisco, CA. Her brother Daniel Ruffner and his wife Susan of Myrtle Beach, SC, also survive her.In her final two weeks, Linda was under the care of Hospice at home, where she was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
