Linda Sue Wade

Linda Sue Cecil Wade, 71, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born February 10, 1953, to the late Leslie Carl Cecil and Berth Rife Cecil.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Thorton; and sister, Myrtle Vanderweil.Linda attended Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and exploring with her husband.She is survived by her loving husband, David Wade; sons, Darrell Thorton, Robert Thorton; sisters, Nancy Mithem, Jean Conner, Judy Hartwell, Karen Padget, and Vivian Slone; grandchildren, Kayla Thorton and Olivia Thorton; and one great grandchild.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
