Linda Teague Mays

Linda Teague Mays, 76, entered into her heavenly home on June 28, 2023. She was born in Danville, VA on January 16, 1947 to the late Doris Franklin Lorentzen and the late Leo Van Teague. She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Swanson Mays Sr.

Linda was of the Christian faith and worked for many years as the owner operator of Old Virginia Candle Shop. She was in the Cascade express band for 25 years, and supporter of Cascade Community Center.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two sons; Robert Allen Anthony Revis and Kenneth Wayne Revis both of Danville, VA; three step sons; Calvin Mays Jr., Steven Craig Mays (Belynda) and Alex Jameson Mays; a step daughter; Stacy Denise Boyd; 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her two special dogs; Grascal and Itsy.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by a Grand Daughter, Robin Revis Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 2:00pm at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Doug Barber officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of her son, Robert A. Revis, at 241 Parsons Street, Danville, VA 24541.
