Lisa Ann Wilkerson

Lisa Ann Wilkerson, 52, of Lynchburg, Virginia, met her Lord and Savior early on the morning of March 31, 2026, surrounded by family and love. Lisa was born in Vernal, Utah, and lived in many places during her life. Much of her adult life was spent in Richmond, Virginia, working in the restaurant industry as a waitress, bartender, and manager. She spent the last few years living in Lynchburg.

She had a strong Christian faith and was baptized just a few years ago. Her biggest joy in life was her two sons, Shane and Isaiah. She was a feisty lady with a sassy sense of humor.

She was born July 12, 1973, to Gary and Toni Wilkerson, the third child and only girl in the family. Her three brothers were fiercely protective of her both in childhood and adulthood.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Toni Lynn Coston Wilkerson, as well as her grandparents.

She will live on in the hearts of her sons, Shane Livingston of Minot, ND, and Isaiah Hewlitt and his partner Antwan Wilkerson of Richmond, VA; her father, Verl Gary Wilkerson; her brothers Verl Gary Wilkerson, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, all of Martinsville, VA, Kenneth Wilkerson of Lynchburg, VA, and Michael Wilkerson and his wife Tammy of Freedom, OK. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her brother’s dog, Oreo, will miss his Aunt Sissy.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Amir Khan and Centra Oncology for walking with her during her long fight against cancer. They also appreciate the nurses of Amedisys Hospice Care for their care during her final days.
