Lisa Lynne Jamison
Lisa Lynne Jamison, 62, of Roanoke left the loving arms of family to enter the eternal embrace of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1963, to the late Pat and Lois Dotson of Salem, with whom she is now happily reunited. Lisa was a caring wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother. She was a beloved sister, aunt and sister-in-law and a friend to everyone who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steve Jamison, daughter Sharayah Lambert (Drew), and stepson Joshua Carter. Grandchildren include Bryce Lambert, Myles, Emery, and Elliott Carter. Lisa was the dear sister of Julie Dotson, Laura Akers, and Jenny Martin (Matt) and sister-in-law to Cary Dean Jamison, Dale Jamison (Donna), and Lisa Radcliffe. Also surviving are special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
Lisa was a 1981 graduate of Salem High School and attended Virginia Western Community College where she studied early childhood education. She worked in childcare and public education, serving as an instructional assistant with Roanoke City Schools for nineteen years. Known for her heart for children and unshakeable faith, Lisa served the Lord in everything she did. She brought a special joy, warmth and kindness to every relationship and always put others before herself.
Those who knew Lisa will recall how she delighted in family get-togethers for holidays and birthdays. She most treasured the time spent with her grandson, Bryce. “Grams” loved preparing and sending surprise packages just for him. She will be dearly missed by family and friends including those from West Salem Baptist, Green Ridge Baptist, and City Light churches. May Lisa’s memory be a blessing to all and may her life be remembered as a reflection of God’s great and abiding love.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 23 at 1:00 pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 pm in the chapel.
