Lois Faye Hanson

LOIS FAYE HANSON, 69, of Blacksburg, VA, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Lewis Gale Medical Center- Salem. She was born October 9, 1955, in Pulaski, VA, the daughter of the late Lacie & Okie Wright.

Lois was the sweetest lady, always nice and had a beautiful smile.  She was a cook at Warm Hearth. She enjoyed fishing.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Lacie Franklin & Okie Faye Eades Wright, her husband, Joseph Hanson, her daughter, Crystal Faye Brunk, her great-grandson, Darius Steven Dunford, her brothers, Marion Lee Wright and Michael Franklin Wright and her sister, Geneva Dawn Holt.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters & sons-in-law, Michelle Lynn & Eric Smith and Becky & Gary Dunford; her grandchildren, Austin Oneill, Ariel Dunford, Eric Smith, Jr., and Chase Smith; her great-grandchildren, Marina Dunford-Stilwell and Miracle Dunford-Stilwell; her brother, Jeffrey Harrison Wright and several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Lois has been cremated. A memorial is planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her honor directly to A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA, 24134, to help offset funeral expenses.
