Lois J. Williams

Lois J. Williams, 95, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. She was born August 28, 1929, in Massachusetts. She was raised and adored by her grandparents.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lowder Williams; son, Jonathan “Scott” Williams; sisters, Margie Hemby, and Ruthie Belcher.

Lois was a dedicated registered nurse for over fifty years, exemplifying compassion and unwavering commitment to her patients. Her green thumb transformed any garden she tended, as she had the remarkable ability to make anything grow. A woman of profound faith, Lois was a lifelong Jehovah’s Witness and found great joy in sharing her beliefs with others. Her love for the outdoors was evident, and her nurturing spirit and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Lois’s heart was truly one of the biggest, embodying love and compassion in every aspect of her life.

She is survived by daughters, Leslie Callaway, Misti Williams; grandchildren, Nicholas Neice, Roger Neice; great grandchildren, Morgan Wells, Matthew Williams, Sierra Williams; great-great grandchildren, Malayah Williams, Nalani Williams, Noa Williams, Isabella Lawson, James Neice; special friends, Carolyn Shivley and Bonnie Grigorieff.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall, 5969 Booker T. Washington Highway, Wirtz, Virginia 24148.
