Lois Parmelee Law

January 16, 1932 - October 4, 2024

Lois Parmelee Law, 92, of Roanoke, has departed this life and instantly arrived in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” She slept in her physical body and awoke with a heavenly body in her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her parents Laurence Shidler Parmelee and Mildred Augusta Schueltge Parmelee; her husband of 60 years George C. Law; and son Laurence Worth “Larry” Law. She served alongside “Preacher Law” for 50 years of ministry to her Lord. She will be missed by the family she leaves behind: Debbie & Dale VanKirk, Susan & Bill Flowers, Robert & Nancy Law, Ruth Law, John & Leigh Law, Paul & Renee’ Law, and Mary & Jim Sheridan. Also left behind are grandchildren: Tim & Heather Flowers, Philip & Angela Flowers, Kristen & Aaron Hoxie, Jeremy & Mandy Law, Anna Law, Julie & Steve Tatowicz, Meghan & Michael Griffiths, Ethan & Brooke Law, Jacob & Tori Law, Joy & David Rush, Sydney Law, Josiah Sheridan, Micah Sheridan, Lydia Sheridan, Grace Law, Isaiah Sheridan, Nehemiah Sheridan, Bri Law, and Hannah Sheridan. Her great-grandchildren are Tyler Hoxie, Hayden Hoxie, Daniel Flowers, Hayley Jo Hoxie, Hannah Flowers, Etta Flowers, Brooklyn Liverman, Henryk Tatowicz, Calvin Law, Kayleana Liverman, Jordan Law, Roman Law, Edison Law, Matthias Rush, Zac Griffiths, Hazel Tatowicz, Shay Griffiths, Cameron Law, Marian Rush, and Jehu Rush. Additional survivors are siblings Frank Parmelee, Robert Parmelee, and Janet Dore and numerous other relatives. Her residence for the last 15 years was at Our Lady of the Valley Retirement Community. She finished her earthly course, kept the faith, and was welcomed home with a “Well Done.”A service remembering Lois and honoring her Lord will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Shenandoah Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Friday at 10 am before the service and Friday from 5 to 7 pm also at the Church.
