Lois Via Jarrett

Lois Via Jarrett, 85, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on September 14, 2025. She was born October 21, 1939, to the late Frank Brown Via and Ida Prillaman Via of Henry, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Patterson and her brothers, Glen Via and Willard Via.

Lois retired from DuPont in Martinsville, Virginia. She was a longtime member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Henry, Virginia. She enjoyed being with her church family, traveling, serving at the Henry Fire Department, and spending time with family and friends.

Lois is survived by her husband, James Marshall Jarrett; her son, Barry Marshall Jarrett (Amy) of Collinsville; nieces, Pamela Foley (Ronald) and Kim Mann (Jimmy); nephews, Timothy Via (Jacqueline) and Kenneth Via.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday September 22, 2025, at Mill Creek Baptist Church where a funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. with Pastor Barry Cundiff presiding. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.

The Jarrett family would like to thank Sarah Campbell and the staff at Fork Mountain Adult Rest Home for their compassion and care of Lois.
