Lona Faye Leary

Lona Faye Leary, age 86, of Rustburg, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Mildred Louk of Mill Creek, West Virginia.Born June 8th, 1938 in Mill Creek, West Virginia, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.In addition to her parents, Lona was preceded in death by her sisters Yvonne Ware, Carolyn Lloyd; her brothers Bill Woods and Ronald Louk. She married her best friend and the love of her life Phillip Gene Leary for 68 years. She is survived by her three sons; Ronald Leary (Vicki) of Lynchburg, Tim Leary (Michelle) of Evington, and John Leary (Vicky) of Amherst. She was the loving Mamaw to seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Chapel from 6-8pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10am at Fort Hill Memorial Park officiated by Pastor David Turner.
