Lottie Leona Washington Jones

Lottie Washington Jones, 72, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, after a long illness.

Heaven has gained a kind hearted and generous soul. A true believer with strong faith.

She was born in Buchanan, VA on July 22, 1951 to the late Homer and Sadie Washington. She also was preceded in death by brother Homer (Tim) Washington Jr.

Lottie is survived by sisters: Nella Barnett Hamm (Tom), of Roanoke, VA; Rhonda Washington Burke of Buchanan, VA; and Mary Washington Johnson (Fred) of Buchanan, VA; as well as eight nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Carilion Memorial Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Staff as well as the Raleigh Court Rehab staff for Lottie’s care during her illness.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, June 28, in the Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, VA 24066 with family visitation from 10:30 - 11:30 and memorial service beginning at 11:30.
