Lottie Wade Turner Adams Obituary Lottie Turner Adams, age 88, of Salem, Virginia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.She is survived by her son, Bobby Keith Adams (Carol); daughter, Pamela Ann Adams; grandchildren, Amanda Carolyn Fisher (Thomas), Timothy Mitchell Adams (Kacy), John Thomas Adams; great-grandchildren, Lily Fisher, Shelby Fisher, Andrew Fisher, Benjamin Fisher, Leah Fisher, Charlotte Fisher; brothers, John Turner (Irene), Douglas Turner (Elaine), Carlton Turner (Gayle), Sammy Turner (Ellen), Danny Turner (Malia); sisters, Elizabeth Gregory (Carroll), Carolyn Parsons (Leonard), Debbie Lawless (Mike), Betty Turner; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Grant and Judy Hurd, Briana Linthicum, Aiden Altice, and Keirra Altice.She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. "Bobby" Adams; her father and mother, John and Elsie Turner; and her sisters, Olivia Adams and Peggy Smithers.Lottie had a deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband Bobby and served by his side for many years as the wife of a minister and elder. She spent most of her life as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother keenly interested in the raising and growth of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was proud of her years growing up on a tobacco farm, often sharing stories of the joy of farm life. Those stories revealed a happy childhood and love for her father, mother, and eleven siblings. It gave her great joy to have close relationships with her siblings through the years.She was a devout Christian attending church faithfully her entire life. Her last church, Salem Church of Christ held a special place in her heart. There she served in various ministries and found support through friends who brightened her life after losing her dear husband Bobby.Always carrying her early years on the farm with her, she found comfort in the simple quiet tasks of gardening and general care of her home.A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia. Prior to the service, a visitation period will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Additionally, a private interment will take place at Fort Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia at a later date.
