Louis Silcox
Louis Clark Silcox, 94, of Daleville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. Born on February 16, 1930, in Roanoke County, Virginia, Louis lived a long and fulfilling life, deeply rooted in faith, service, and love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Benjamin Silcox and Willie Silcox; his son, Ben Silcox; his brother, Frank Silcox; and his sister, Elizabeth Adams.
Louis is survived by his loving son, Richard Silcox (Mary); his dear sister, Ann Holloman; his five cherished grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he exemplified dedication and honor. After completing his military service, he began a long and successful career as a Heavy Equipment Inspector.
A proud and active member of his community, Louis was affiliated with VFW Post 1841 in Daleville and the American Legion in Daleville, where he built lasting friendships and contributed to supporting fellow veterans. A man of faith, Louis was a devoted member of Daleville Church of the Brethren.
Louis will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his unwavering faith, and his commitment to serving his country and community. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on December 21, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Rader Funeral Home in Daleville, Virginia. Officiating the service will be Pastor Danny Barham.
