Louise Yvonne Dixon Neblett

Louise Yvonne Dixon Neblett, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned from her earthly life Friday, September 5, 2025. She was born August 12, 1942, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late James H. Dixon and Lillie Wimbush Dixon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice Gilbert, Magdalene Baker, and Thelma Gean Vaugh.

Louise was of the Christian faith and a member of Fresh Start Ministries. She attended school in Patrick County and was a dedicated employee for 20 years with Martinsville Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper. Louise was known for her love of music and dancing; she also enjoyed beautiful flowers and going on cruises. Her love for her family was most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them and making memories together.

She leaves behind a host of family and friends who were blessed by her love and kindness, including her husband, Louis Neblett; daughters, Detta Robinson, Millicent Perkins (Timothy), Cheryl Neblett, Andrea Jordan; sons, Thomas Grant, Kevin Penn, Barry Neblett, Carl Neblett, Garland Neblett (Susie); sister, Diane Redd; and 10 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Carver Memorial Gardens with Pastor Wallar officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12:00-6:00 PM at the home, located at 503 2nd Street, Martinsville, Virginia, 24112.
