Lu Jean Bedard

November 3, 1950 - July 4, 2025

Lu Jean Bedard, 74, of Roanoke, went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Wade; and her dear brother, Jim Wade (of Chattanooga TN).

Lu Jean is survived by her husband of 45 years, Christian Bedard; sons, Wade Mansfield (Kym) and Zac Mansfield; granddaughter, Zoe Mansfield; nephew, Scott Wade (Teresa); and niece, Kelly Henley (Clay).

Lu Jean was a faithful member of First Baptist Church (Roanoke) for many years. She enjoyed being a member of the choir and passionately loved working with babies in the nursery.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at First Baptist Church Roanoke, 321 Marshall Ave SW, Roanoke, Virginia 24016. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10 AM until 11 AM and will be followed by a Celebration of Lu Jean's Life at 11 AM in Faith chapel at First Baptist Church.
