Lynn "Lennie" Duncan

Lynn "Lennie" Duncan, 73, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024.  He was preceded by his parents, Billy and Marguerite Duncan; brothers, Greg Duncan and Oscar Thornsbury; and sisters, Carol Hicks and Shirley McDowell.

Lynn was a graduate of William Fleming High School and retired from Otis Elevator Company.  He was a member of Local 51 of the IUEC (International Union of Elevator Constructors) and Lodge # 1121 the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Carrie McClammer Duncan; daughters, Michelle Duncan Murphy (Mark), and Nicole Duncan Grubb (Adam); grandchildren, Madesyn, Collin, and Lucas; brother, Billy Duncan, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia 2224 South Jefferson Street Roanoke, Virginia   24014.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time at Simpson Funeral Home.
