Lynwood Gerald Dewitt

Lynwood Gerald DeWitt, 87 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Thursday, November 14, 1935 in Bedford County, a son of the late Garland Watson DeWitt and Clara Beard DeWitt . He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Hardy DeWitt.

Mr DeWitt was retired from Piedmont Label after working there almost 40 years as a printing pressman. He was one of their biggest advocates and enjoyed going to their Retirement Luncheons after his time working there. After Piedmont Label, he enjoyed the farm with his Angus cattle up until his passing.

He is survived by his son, Gerald C. DeWitt & wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Nick & Maggie DeWitt; his niece, Kay Johnson; his nephews, Adam (Tater) Hardy, Preston Hardy; his sister-in-law, Patsy Hardy.
