Mac Arthur Wilson

Mr. Mac Arthur Wilson, age 83 of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Wilson was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on October 7, 1942, to the late Robert and Myrtle Wilson Wilson. Mac was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Elane Wilson Drye and husband Paul, Peggy Renee Wilson Hettig and husband Tom; sons and daughters-in-law, James Robert “Robbie” Wilson and wife Brittany, Kevin McArthur Wilson and wife Tina; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Bubba Hesley and wife Jennifer, Eddie “Doodle” Millikan and wife C.J., Jennifer Hesley, Marissa Cox and husband Brian, Cody Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Madison Wilson, Sawyer Wilson, Tucker Wilson, Grayson Brookner, Carson Brookner, Brenson Brookner; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Hesley, Xane Griffith, Allanah Griffith; his special dog, Gracie; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Elaine Gwyn Wilson; two sisters, Rachel Wilson, Myrtle Virginia Wilson; and four brothers, Troy Wayne Wilson, Roy David Wilson, Eugene Wilson and Larry Junior Wilson. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor James Daniel Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery in Asbury, North Carolina. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Moody Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
