Macie Robertson Goode Obituary Macie Robertson Goode, 81 of Salem, VA, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family on Monday, September 30th.Macie was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother ‘Memaw', Aunt and Friend. She leaves behind her husband, Lewis, of 63 1/2 years, her three daughters, Katherine, Stephanie and Susanne and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Madison, Dailyn, Andrew and Hudson, her brother, Randy and many nieces and nephews. Jinger, her faithful furry, companion who was always by her side will miss her and all of the love, pets and attention. Macie was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Margaret Robertson, and her sister, Anita.Macie was larger than life, marching to the beat of her own amazing drum. She had a quick wit and a sharp sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. She gave love freely and was deeply loved in return. She could be sassy and a tad ornery at times, in the most endearing way. We will deeply miss her for so many reasons. Her laughter, sense of independence, macaroni salad, triple chocolate cake, one-of-a-kind perspective on life, absolute love of Christmas, decorating, and the collection of Santa Clauses not to forget, her love for chocolate ice cream and an occasional good chocolate martini! Mom was also a very proud and active member of the Lady Shriners, the Ma’at Court.Mom, you were so loved. In our hearts, we know you have reunited in heaven with your beloved parents, Julian and Margaret Robertson, and your sister Anita.A memorial service will be held at John M.
