Margaret Ann Sowers

Margaret Ann Sowers, 70, of Hardy passed away on September 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret was born on July 19, 1954, in Roanoke, VA. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Roger Sowers, Father, Aubrey Gray, Mother, Ruth Gray,Sisters, Joyce Hardy and Molly Horsley and Brother, Gary Gray. Margaret is survived by Brothers, David Gray (Diane) and Calvin Gray (Becky); Daughter, Lisa Davis (Brad) and Son, Matt Sowers; Grandson Spenser Davis (Morgan); Granddaughter, Haley Davis; Great-granddaughter Hudson May Davis, several nieces and nephews and her canine companion Jax. Margaret retired from Carilion after a 25-year career as a dietary coordinator. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially those at the Vinton Moose Lodge. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered in Margaret’s honor to the American Cancer Society. The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
