Margaret Crumpton Arnold

Margaret Crumpton Arnold, 88, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born in Caswell County, NC on September 26, 1935 to the late Bertha Gentry Crumpton and the late Eli Loyd Crumpton. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Harold Edward Arnold.

Margaret was of the Christian Faith, and worked for many years at Dan River Mills Inc., previous to her retirement.

Margaret is survived by two sisters; Lemma Blackstock and Phyllis C. Seamster; one brother; Larry Crumpton (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was predeceased by three sisters; Myrtle C. Yarbrough, Helen C. Talbert, and Shirley C. Motley; and seven brothers; Herman W. Crumpton, Bobby W. Crumpton, Troy G. Crumpton, Ray K. Crumpton, Harold D. Crumpton, Bennie E. Crumpton, and Eli L. Crumpton.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to God’s Storehouse, 750 Memorial Drive, Danville, VA 24540. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Roman Eagle Nursing Home, for all the kindness they showed during Margaret’s stay there.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:00am at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with Pastor Mike Wiles officiating. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Larry and Linda Crumpton, 215 Vicar Place, Danville, VA 24540.
