Margaret Mayberry Layne

Margaret Mayberry Layne, age 93, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Otis Basil Mayberry and Lena Godsey Mayberry.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in passing by her husband Earl Steptoe Layne; her daughter Margaret Ann Adkins; and her sisters.

Those left to cherish Margaret's memory include her children Earl Wayne Layne and his wife Carol of Concord, VA, Roy Lee Layne and his wife Dorothy of Lynchburg, VA, Robert Gary Layne of Lynchburg, VA, Lewis Jerry Layne of Lynchburg, VA.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 11am at Presbyterian Cemetery officiated by Pastor Rick Rasberry. The family will receive friends the night prior at Whitten Timberlake Chapel from 5-7pm.
