Margaret "Peggy" Emma Dobyns

Margaret Emma Dobyns (Peggy) was born on December 28, 1934 to the late Paul Phillip and Gladys May Dobyns and passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2026.

Peggy spent her life working at Eaton Yale, GE, Electralarm, and Roanoke City, retiring at age 77. She loved spending time with family, traveling, helping anyone in need and giving to Animal Shelters, Wildlife Preservation and children.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Paul P Dobyns, Jr., Nancy D Wood (Paul), Allen F Dobyns, Phyllis D Breedlove (JC); niece, Katheryn V Dobyns and great niece, Onjelique C Stevens.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Cecelia D Chapman (David) and Terry P Dobyns (Linda). She has many nieces, nephews, family and friends (Brenda Hylton, Shirley Richardson, Pat and Carol) who all loved her and will miss her dearly.

Heartfelt gratitude to the staff members at Lewis Gale Hospital, Harmony Collection-AL (Angela), Good Samaritan Hospice and niece, Jacque C Malone, all that provided comfort, dignity, and kindness throughout her 3 years in assisted living, especially during her final days.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Virginia Memorial Park, 11490 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551 with Pastor Barry Fitzgerald officiating.  There is no visitation.
