Margaret "Polly" King

Margaret “Polly” King, 87, of Blue Ridge, went be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2024. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Edward Whorley; parents, Charles and Eunice Gillespie; and siblings, Roscoe Gillespie and Dorothy Rowland.

Polly is survived by her grandson, Dennis Matthew Whorley (Honey); granddaughter, Melissa Broughman (Matt); great granddaughter, Haylee Cockran-Whorley; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was a loving and caring grandma, who was very dedicated to the Lord and to attending Colonial Baptist Church.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service, both at Colonial Baptist Church, 221 Hillcrest St., Blue Ridge, VA 24064. Interment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
