Margaret Reynolds Payne

Margaret Reynolds Payne, age 80 of Danville, Virginia went to meet her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at SOVAH Health in Danville, Virginia. Margaret was born May 14, 1944 in Pittsylvania County to the late Olidean Reynolds and the late Doris James Herndon Reynolds. She was married to the late Bobby L. Payne.

She was a lifelong member of Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked at Ennis Business Forms in Chatham, Virginia for over 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, and yard sales, and most importantly, she had a compassionate heart, helping many in their time of need. She will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Birdeana “Deana” Rosenbaum and Vickie “Renee” Coward; two grandchildren, Dominick C. Parker, and Caleb D. Rosenbaum; three great-grandchildren, Dominick C. Parker, Jr., David M. Reaves, and Chance L. Parker; three sisters, Glenda Montgomery, Marie Collins, and Elenor Dalton; three brothers, Rev. Donald “Don” Reynolds, Gabriel Reynolds, and Anthony Reynolds; her special friend, Denise Lynskey; and her beloved pet, “Fluffy”.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her longtime partner, Kent Coward; and three brothers, Wayne “Lynwood” Reynolds, Robert Reynolds, and James Reynolds.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Margeret Reynolds Payne will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Mt. Hermon Chapel with Rev. Donald “Don” Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Boaze Family Cemetery in Dry Fork, Virginia. The family will receive friends and family Thursday, December, 26, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also at Norris Funeral Service, Mt. Hermon Chapel.
