Margarett Golden Furry Fields

Margarett Golden Furry "Toots" Fields, age 93, died September 22, 2024 in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Margarett was born on October 7,1930 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Ruel Samuel Furry and Rosa "Minnie" Lee Fridley. She was a graduate of Clifton Forge High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Fields; her son, Charles Nathan Fields; five sisters, Annie Pauline Mason, Catherine Paitsel, Thelma Louise Waters, Nellie Juanita Wilcher, and Ruby Lee Stogdale; and three brothers, Robert L. Furry, Charles E. Furry, and Joseph A. Furry. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In keeping with her wishes, her body was cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Her ashes will be buried alongside her son, Charles Nathan Fields, who died in 2006, her mother, Minnie Furry, and father Ruel Furry.
