Maria Frances Ritter

February 23, 1944 - March 20, 2023

Maria Frances Ritter, age 79 of Henry was born February 23, 1944 and passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at home with her family. She is precededin death by her beloved son, William R. Ritter, Jr.; granddaughter, Maria D. Dooley; three sisters; and four brothers.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years,William (Bill) Ritter, Sr.; four daughters, Tina Dowie (Frank), Monica Dooley (Daniel), Sarah Ritter, Eyvette Evans (Chris); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; siblings, Viola Murrietta, Fermin Torres, Gina Garcia, Ruby Valdez, and Ruth Duarte; along with many nieces and nephews. Also left to grieve are extended family members David Benjamin and Adam Carpenter.

Memorial services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel in Rocky Mount, Virginia on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Her family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial immediately following at 3:00 p.m.

In honor of her memory and longtime support, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
