Maria Hoa Thi Vo
Maria Hoa Thi Vo, 73, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. She was born December 31, 1950, in Vietnam to the late Tao Van Le and Tan Thi Le.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Le Van Tru; and sisters, Le Thi Duoc and Le Thi Ngo.
Hoa was of the Catholic faith. She loved to watch movies and television series in her free time. Her favorite color was red and loved roses. She enjoyed wearing her jewelry, especially gold. She was a gardener that grew her own fruits and vegetables. Hoa also babysat many of the Vietnamese children around the area.
She is survived by her husband, Duong Vo; daughters, Minh Tran (Hoang Tran), Nhung Vo, Diem Vo (John Samuel), and Thuy Vo (Josh Ward); sons, Vu Vo (Anh Chi Nguyen) and Sang Vo (Hong-An Nguyen); sister, Dia Thi Le; brother, To Van Le; and grandchildren, Sidney Tran, Kathy Nguyen, Holly Nguyen, Kerry Nguyen, Viet Vo, Victor Vo, Noah Vo, Isaiah Vo, Jonah Vo, Lucy Do, and Eliana Samuel.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Father Santos and Father Linh officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Following the funeral service, we will be having the cremation ceremony at Wright Funeral Service. Family and friends will be gathering at Saint Joseph on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM to enjoy a meal and refreshments. There will also be a visitation Friday, October 4, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Father Long officiating from 6:00 to 6:30 PM.
