Marian Antonina McHenry

Marian Antonina McHenry passed away on April 28, 2024, due to complications of cancer. Marian was a wonderfully kind person who cared more about others than about herself. She always put others first.

Marian graduated from Chatham Hall in 1989 and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. She later attended cosmetology school before attending nursing school, where she became a registered nurse. She was a dedicated psychiatric nurse. A brilliant writer and artist, she used her gifts and passions in her work and daily life by making others smile, and feel good about themselves.

Marian was born April 19, 1972 in Charlottesville, VA, the daughter of Vivian Easley Andrews. Her father Rudolph Shupik, Jr., predeceased her.

Marian dearly loved her brother, Ruddy Shupik, and his spouse, Billie Jean Jones. She was also very close to her mother, Vivian Andrews and her stepfather, Robert Hanson.

Marian loved her sweetheart, Nathan Jacobson and his daughter Grace and her sweet dog, Fred.

Marian will always be remembered as a beautiful, selfless woman who leaves a legacy of kindness and love.

A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 66 Main St, Chatham, VA 24531 on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
