Marilyn Gwynn

Ms. Marilyn Gwynn, age 85 of Ararat, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Laurel Fork, Virginia. Miss. Gwynn was born on June 29, 1940, in Patrick County to the late Curtis Lee and Nettie Marie Boyd Gwynn. Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her sons and daughters-in-law, Derrick Haun and Lisa, Jason Haun and Norma; three grandchildren and spouses, Dietrich Haun, Marissa Haun Proffitt and Chadwick, Jakob Haun and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Raylan, Willow, Mavrick, Maevery, Brooke, Charlotte; and a sister, Lucy Mae Gwynn and good friend, Ken Goad . Ms. Gwynn was preceded in death her parents, Curtis Lee and Nettie Marie Boyd Gwynn. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Helmdollar officiating. Interment will follow in the Gwynn Family Cemetery in Ararat, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with arrangements.
