Mark "Scooter" Alan McFaddin

Mark Alan “Scooter”, "The Professor”, "Turtle” McFaddin, 63 of Callands entered into rest on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born August 25, 1959 in Pittsylvania County to the late Shirley Amos McFaddin and the late Ralph McFaddin. He was married to Wendy Arthur McFaddin.

He was the instructor of motorcycle rider education at Danville Community College for 35 years and worked for the City of Danville in the building maintenance department. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, laughter, his kindheartedness, and his love for his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and for all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence, he is survived by his daughter, Nickey Paris and her husband Dan; five grandchildren, Xzavier and Kriztoph Goad, Darren, Ryan, and Lillie Paris; brother, Dale McFaddin and his wife JoAnne; sister, Susan McFaddin; his mother-in-law, Catherine Arthur; sisters-in-law, Cathy Kinney and her husband Roger and Crystal Arthur; niece, Nora Pruett and her husband Andrew; as well as an additional nephew and three nieces; and half of Callands.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, 5:30 p.m. at Matthews Memorial Community Church, 1060 Cavalry Road, Chatham, VA with Pastor Rusty East, and Pastor Eddie Collins officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request to please donate blood, make a donation to your local Fire & Rescue, or please take a memorial motorcycle ride in Marks memory.
