Martha Turner Hutson

Martha Turner Hutson, age 95, of Danville, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Hutson was born April 25, 1928, in Danville, VA to the late Jessie Turner and the late Nannie Scearce Turner. She was married to the late Howard Hutson, Sr. who predeceased her in 1979.

Mrs. Hutson was a member of North Danville Church of Christ. She graduated from Whitmell Farm Life High School in 1947 and was a proud homemaker her entire life.

She is survived by her son, Howard James Hutson, Jr. (Juanita), grandchildren, Wanda Clark (Dennis) and Sondra Bloomer (John) as well as great-grandchildren, Shelby Bucchi (Nick), Chasity Marquez (Darwin), and Daniel Clark (Caitlin), great-great-grandchildren, Grace Abigail Bucchi, Sadie James Clark, Riley Blake Clark, Angel Grace Marquez and one more on the way.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was predeceased by two great-grandsons, Bryan Woods and Thomas Woods. She was also predeceased by 15 siblings.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hutson Family Cemetery, 277 Iris Lane, Danville, VA officiated by Pastor Hershel Stone. The family will receive friends at the residence of her son, Howard James Hutson, Jr. 265 Iris Lane, Danville, VA.
