Mary Dorcas Honaker

Mary Dorcus Doricella Harless Honaker, 73 of Dublin, Virginia departed this life May 3, 2025 in her home. Born in Virginia on February 12, 1952 she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice Tate Harless.

Professionally, Mary served as a clerk at the Comfort Inn Hotel. She was revitalized in life by traveling whenever she could. This time was most enjoyed when she could feel the sand beneath her feet and watch the waves come in at the ocean. She enjoyed expressing herself in her artwork and drawing. Finally, she enjoyed a good shopping trip where she could express herself in her home, in fashion, or in gifting to her family.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bernice Harless; husband, Troy Honaker; brother, Thomas Harless; and sister, Judy Dobbins.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her sons, Troy Honaker and Ormond Honaker; daughter, Tina Chapman (Daniel Willis); grandchildren, Ormond Honaker Jr, Jacob Honaker, Eliza Honaker, Sophia Honaker, Sonia Chapman, Kelley Chapman, Fisha Ward, and Adam Chapman; several great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a gathering of friends and family on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home.
