Mary Gastineau

Mary Margaret Gastineau, 56, of Narrows, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.  Mary was born on September 16, 1969, in Cincinnati, OH, and was a daughter of Charles Edwin Gastineau and Joyce Ann Horner Thomas of Narrows.  Mary graduated from Batavia High School in Batavia, OH.  Mary joined the U.S. Army her senior year of high school, retiring with over 20 years’ service.  She was deployed in Iraq in 2005 as a Combat Medic.  After the military, she got into crafting.  She loved taking care of her family and grandchildren.    Besides her parents, she is survived by 2 sons, Trevin M. Gastineau of Narrows, Sean A. Lee of Narrows, 1 daughter, Chynna M. Lee of OH, 2 grandchildren, Gabriel E. Lee and Elisha A. Gibbson, 1 brother, Derras Alan Gastineau of Narrows and 1 sister, Caroline Lorraine Gastineau of OH As per her request, she will be cremated with no service.
