Mary Jane Boyett Coleman

Mary Jane Boyett Coleman, 79, of Archdale, North Carolina, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at the High Point Medical Center, in High Point, North Carolina. Although her passing was sudden, she went peacefully surrounded by loved ones.She was born February 28, 1944 in Arkansas to the late Frank Harold Boyett, Sr. and Dollie Mae Bull Kurtz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilkie Lee Coleman; sister, Delia Mae Kurtz; brother, Jimmy Lee Boyett; and granddaughters, Nichole Lewis and Ashley Coleman.She graduated from Clearview High School in Ohio and had been a homemaker. She loved God and her family with everything in her being. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. When her family was with her, you could see her eyes light up with joy and excitement. Despite any struggles or hardships endured in life, she never lost her faith in God or her family. She loved so many others, family or not, with her whole heart. She gave everything and expected nothing in return.We were extremely blessed to have her beautiful soul touch our hearts simply by existing and being such a wonderful person. Now she is at peace in the Kingdom she has been waiting for. Rest in peace, Mawmaw. We will always love you.Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Marsha Padgett, Cheryl Phelps (Legrand), and Rita Lewis (Jeff McDonald); son, John Coleman (Amy); sisters, Rose Ann Kurtz and Wynona Lynn Kurtz; brothers, Frank Harold Boyett, Jr., Edward Carl Kurtz, and Benjamin Russell Kurtz; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Mike Stocks and Pastor Benny Dodson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
