Mary Lane Leatherwood

Mary Lane Leatherwood, 82, of Martinsville, VA passed away on September 27, 2025. She was born June 25, 1943, to the late Garnett Mitchell and Leona Compton Mitchell. In addition to her parents Mary is predeceased by her daughter, Dianna Leatherwood Grogan.

Mary is survived by her son, Walter Scott Leathwood (Cynthia) of Marion, N.C.; and grandchildren, Kayla Grogan and Myles Grogan.

A graveside service was held on October 3, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Granview Cemetery, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803. Pastor Lee Ashley officiated the service.
