Mary Lou Estes

Maggie Lou Estes, 61, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at Mulberry Creek. She was born September 7, 1961, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Leroy Estes and Lucille Moore Estes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Moore, and John Estes.

Maggie was a member of Rebirth Church and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved cooking, dancing, feeding people, giving them a place to live, and her family gatherings.

Maggie is survived by her daughter, Crystal Estes; sons, Devin Estes, and Namon Estes (Brittany); sisters, Cathy Ross, Mary Kellam (Daniel), and Sharon Poe; brothers, Ricky Estes, and Jimmy Estes (Tammy); eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 26, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Scotty Lucas. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. The visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. A floating visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Wright Funeral Service from 3:30-5:00PM.
