Mary Louise Hodges Lynch
“Oh Lord, My God, I cried to you for help and you have healed me.”

On Friday, May 16, 2025, our Lord and Savior called Mary “Louise” Hodges Lynch home for her complete healing. As we mourn and miss her, we standfast in knowing she is rejoicing and healed.
She was born October 22, 1934 to the later Cover and Pearl Hodges. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Lynch; son, Teddy Lynch; brother, Walter Hodges; sisters, Irene McGuire, Gertrude Prater, Edith Wray, Nannie Holland and Peggy Hawks. Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Stevie (Ginger) Lynch; adored granddaughter, Shea (Brad) Smith; great-grandsons that lit up her life, Kaleb Smith, Kreed Smith and Kasen Smith. Louise held her sisters close to her heart: Joyce Hudson, Elizabeth (Blaine) Holcomb, Maxine Weeks and Brenda (Ray) Furrow. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Darlene Wray, all of which she loved very much.
Funeral services will be held at Henry Fork Church, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
