Mary Martin

Mrs. Mary Hinton "Sally" Martin, age 75, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke. She was the wife of Thomas Edward "Peanut" Martin.
Mrs. Martin was born June 7, 1949 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late William Dick Hinton and Leah Jackson Hinton. A lifetime member of this community, she was employed as a laborer by the former Bacova Guild. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed crocheting, growing flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Martin is survived by a daughter, Cathy M. Persinger and husband, David of Covington; four grandchildren, Ashley Anderson and husband, Kris, Karen Simmons and husband, Aaron, April Ball and husband, Brent, Austin Persinger and Bralynn Cigic; ten great grandchildren, Dalton Simmons, Alexis Simmons, Kolby Anderson and significant other, Gracie, Santana Propps and husband, Barrett, Chayse Anderson, Kaden Anderson, Jaelyn Anderson, Hayley Ball, Hayden Ball, Bentley Ball; and a sister, Sarah Short and husband, Jerry.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2024, from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
