Mary Virginia Barksdale Robertson

Mary Virginia Barksdale Robertson, 92, of Danville, VA passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Robertson was born March 27, 1931, in Chatham, VA to the late Jesse McLaughlin and the late Elnora Barksdale Adams.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Robertson; sons, Frank Robertson (Ramonia), Tonnie Glenn Robertson (Mindy Lynn), Daniel Robertson, Michael Robertson (Michelle), and Barry Robertson (Leniecia); eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Gladys Ann Oliver.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Robertson; daughter, Virginia Ann Robertson; sister, Rosie Vaden; and brothers, Willie Barksdale, and Charlie Barksdale.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with Minister Fred Fitzgerald officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel and at other times at the residence. Interment will follow the funeral at Highland Burial Park.
