Melvin Allen Haymore

Melvin Allen Haymore, age 67, of Cascade, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Sovah Health, Danville. Melvin was born July 23, 1957, in Danville, Virginia to the late Irene Claudia Hyler Haymore and the late Melvin Leo Haymore.

Melvin worked for various manufacturing companies for many years, until his health failed, and he was forced to retire. He enjoyed his home in Cascade and remained close to home in his later years. He will always be remembered as a devoted father to his two children and their spouses.

He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley Faye Haymore (Allan Wood) and his son, Melvin Lee Haymore (Ashley), as well as his granddaughters, Daytona and Morgan Haymore; his two brothers, Donnie (Don) W. Haymore and Randall E. Haymore (Wanda), and niece Shanna M. Fields.

A visitation of friends will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held to remember Melvin’s life at 6:00 p.m. with his brother, Don Haymore officiating.
