Melvin Clay Perdue

August 31, 1941 - January 26, 2025

Melvin Perdue, 83, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 26, 2025, with his daughters by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Hallie and Pauline D. Perdue; sister, Betty Jane Perdue; and his brother, Carl Perdue.

Melvin is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Kingery and husband Andy, Vickie Frost and husband Alan; grandchildren, Jonathan Renz, Jordan Renz (Jamie Duval), Abigail Ruppert (Stephen), Lily Frost (Hunter Vassar); great-grandchild, James Duval; special friend, Sandra Wimmer; his beloved neighbors at the Village at Tinker Creek; and his Sunday K & W dinner buddies.

Melvin served his country in the United States Army. He was the proud owner of Perdue Plumbing and MSP Construction. Melvin was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Melvin was very proud of his grandchildren and wanted everyone to know he loved them.

Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:30 am at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
