Melvin Lee Orr

Melvin Lee Orr, age 73 of Snow Creek, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2024. He is no longer suffering from his debilitating illness. He worked hard all of his life mainly driving trucks for Old Dominion Freight Line. In his free time, he loved to fish and supported the Redskins football team. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas “Andy” and Frances Orr; his mother and father-in-law, Charlie “Tommy” and Gladys “Norene” Guthrie; his brothers, Wayne and Bill Barber; his sister, Angie Barber; his son Tony Orr; and grandson, Colton Orr. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathy Orr; his brothers, Mike and David Barber; his sisters, Faye Boyd and Linda; his sister-in-law, Brenda Harris; his four sons, Jeffrey Orr, Adam (Rachel) Orr, Richard “Ricky” (Joice) Orr, and Jordan (Elissa) Orr; his only daughter, Miranda Keatts; 15 grandkids; a few great-grandkids; many nephews, nieces and many other family members and friends. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the family home on Fireside Lane in Snow Creek, VA with Rev. J.T. Clark officiating. His family will have a visitation on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service. The family appreciates the wonderful love and prayers during this difficult time.
